Synopsis:
Discontinuation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus updates and support as of 30th September 2009
With the release of MailSite 9.2 the MailSite Anti-Virus engine has been changed to AVG. The AVG engine provides many benefits over the previous Kaspersky solution. Including easier management, faster downloads of definitions and improved scanning performance and message throughput.
MailSite 9.2 has been available to download and install for three months and has proven itself to be a stable, reliable and high performance release. Full details on what is new in MailSite 9.2 can be found here: http://www.mailsite.com/products/mailsite-version-9-whats-new.asp
With the improvements offered by the AVG engine and the maturity of MailSite 9.2, support for the Kaspersky Anti Virus solution found in MailSite versions prior to 9.2, will be discontinued on the 30th of September 2009.

What does this mean to me?
Any MailSite email server running Kaspersky AV scanning, will stop receiving virus database definition updates and stop processing messages on the 30th September 2009. This could lead to the rejection of all email or failure to detect, block or clean infected emails received by the server
What do I have to do?
To continue to receive virus protection you should plan to upgrade to MailSite 9.2 as soon as possible. If you do not already have your MailSite version 9 license key please contact your account manager or MailSite sales at sales@mailsite.com or by phone on 408 879 5600.
Where can I download MailSite 9.2?
You can download the MailSite 9.2 installer from the MailSite portal at http://www.mailsite.com/portal.
How do I upgrade to MailSite 9.2 from my current version?
