MSIISUSER Account

Synopsis:

The MailSite installer creates a Windows account named 'MSIISUSER' for use with MailSite Express. The installer sets a complex and unknown password for this account. In some cases it may necessary to reset the password for this account.

More Information:

Be default this account is used for the Express virtual directory as set by the MailSite installer. MailSite gives the MSIISUSER account the required permissions on the MailSite installation directory. If the BOX directory on your server resides away from the MailSite directory, you may need to provide the BOX folder with modify permissions for the MSIISUSER account.

A complex and random password is set by the Installer for the MSIISUSER account. If you need to make administrative changes involving this account, you can reset the password for MSIISUSER thought the Computer Management option in Administrative Tools. Once you change the password ensure you change the password as specified within the Directory Security for the Express virtual directory in IIS.
